I have a large diamond shaped tattoo on my calf. The diamond is segmented into 4 parts with natural scenes from places I have lived. I like colored realistic and neo-traditional tattoos.

I was thinking an: • Oliphant (war elephant) and one of the Haradrim (look like Moors or Tuareg people) from Lord of The Rings to cover the entire front; or • an angel centered on my shin bone with large wings going on to my leg around the shin bone with a skill over the angels head and a weapon in the angel's hand; or • a shark going over the shin and biting into my leg;

Issues with each tattoo below:

There are some issues with the Oliphant being on my shin. The shin in general is a narrow area and the Oliphant is a large creature that needs more space, I feel. The curvature of my tibia might require the Oliphant to be on one side and the Haradrim to be on the other. Lastly, with Lord of the Rings, most of the reference pictures/art an artist might use are Alan Lee's illustrations.

The angel of death on my shin bone could possibly be narrower than expected and leave lots of empty space between possible new tattoo and tattoo on calf.

Determining how big the shark should be might be an issue. However, with this tattoo, I would have space for another tattoo above or below.

I would appreciate any recommendations or changes to my tattoo ideas. Personally, I care about the quality of the art rather than what the piece is or means. I understand that after a few years the meaning of the tattoo could be lost. The only tattoo that has meaning to me is my first and I wont forget it.
