Hey there folks.

So I've recently been out of a really tough situation that weighed me down a ton mentally and I thought I'd finally get myself a tattoo to remind me, not just about the recent stuff,what I've been through and where I am coming from. One of the most influencial songs in my life is Rise Against - Survive so I know for sure that I would want to have part of the lyrics, namely "how we survive is what makes us who we are."

There are a lot of Tattoos with those lyrics most of which encircle the bands logo, and while I think that looks good it doesn't quite tick all the boxes and this is the point where i am unsure of what direction I could or would take this Tattoo in, I've been thinking about an animal or a symbol (currently toying with the idea of a tree or a bonsai) that stands for inner strength or a new start something along those lines to always be a reminder of how I don't wanna be treated ever again but I am really not the best with meaning and symbolism of tattoos so maybe one of you could help me out to get the general idea more certain.
