Romantic reading issues for a new reader!
Post Body

Hello!

I decided to ask about my next romantic involvement and what that could look like. I did a three card spread and I pulled;

Ace of pentacles indicating there is something starting very slowly on the horizon, which i may not even be aware of

Seven of swords, representing deception

The high priestess in reverse, intending that this person may want to keep our involvement a secret

Strength in reverse for clarity, indicating an uphill battle, meaning likely a toxic person

First, am I interpreting this correctly? This sounds not great :/

Additionally, I decided to ask for advice on how to avoid a relationship of that nature. I did a three card spread and I pulled;

Death in reverse, indicating that my own unhealthy habits need to be addressed

8 of swords, indicating my need to look within and take my power back, look at things from a different perspective

9 of swords, a reminder that negative thoughts can become fact

For clarity; a sign that my work is being acknowledged, but there is still work to be done

Is this basically telling me that I need to continue to do introspective work and unlearn toxic/unhealthy habits before being concerned with romance? And that essentially, approaching romance with a more pessimistic view (which admittedly, I have been) will essentially cause the fears and reservations I have to come to life?

I’m really trying to be in touch with this deck and the act of reading in general, I’ve only just started. Thanks so much for reading! :)
