Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I Just started yesterday, and today was my first "Full" day on the floor. (My trainer actually left 4 hours before I was off, and my other trainer was kinda busy doing frozen while I was puzzling out dairy)
Anyway, my question is.. when you are exceedingly new and you don't know specifically where something in a case goes, just by name.. do you HAVE to open it and scan one to see if it needs to be stocked? I tried asking people, and got weird half-answers, and I know the UPC or whatever on the carboard outside doesn't read. (My shelfs to stock were already taken off the pallet and made up by my TL)
The reason I ask is because I feel really bad tearing up a carton or plastic on something, just to see that its already fully stocked, and end up having to restock them all non-case stock. Can you read the id of a product from the outside, or manually enter it?
