I'm just so tired. Our store (in a state with a mask mandate) has our cart cleaner telling people they need a mask to shop in-store and providing masks to those who don't have one. However, if anyone ignores us or refuses to put one on or takes it off mid-shopping, we're not allowed to do anything.
I'm now getting word that other Target stores ARE enforcing the rule further, asking those who refuse to wear them to leave the store and place a drive up order, which was a complete surprise to me because I was under the impression that it was against corporate policy to. I'm now learning that it IS corporate policy to tell guests they have to leave if not wearing one.
I just wish my store would do more. We are getting complaints now both to corporate and the health department that we are not enforcing it. Hopefully we get our shit together soon. I feel like I look stupid when I tell people to wear a mask and they just fuck me off and then I'm sitting there looking dumbfounded and stupid.
What are some of yalls experiences regarding this at your stores? I just wanna see where other Targets stand at this point. Because I'm fucking confused.
