Post Body

So I'm overnight and we lost our HR lady because she moved to another store to be an ETL. Anyway, I come in, regular routine of checking the board for OT missed punches that sort of thing. No OT but I have a missed punch. Now I know I have OT coming my way because I stayed late one day after being scheduled for exactly 40 that week. So I tell my ETL like hey I was scheduled for 40, I stayed a little later one day and I'm pretty sure I need to cut OT so he checks the board and is like nah ur good fam just stay. So I'm like I have a missing punch. So he just guesstimates a time for me to leave and I'm not happy with it so I'm like can I just stay and get the OT? He's like sure but it'll cost u a write up. As someone who's trying to move up I'm like nah. So I tell him like what do I do? I have no HR to go to like everyone else that isn't overnight, I'm not on the board but I also don't wanna run into OT. So he disappears for a little bit and comes back and I think after some quick googling shows me how to handle it in the system and go home at the right time. Question here is, had I not said anything and followed the board would I still have gotten in trouble? I just hadn't gotten around to fixing my punch because like I said no HR overnight and when all the info I have is I have a missing punch that doesn't do a lot to help me does it.
