I’ve had a long week of being called in early on my, days off, and staying late and I wanted to blame someone. Yesterday my TL called off and it was the day after her birthday so I assumed she got shit hammered, was hung over and I had to clean up her mess after her call out. I ended up staying late that night and finishing up fulfillment. The next day I come in and fulfillment is falling apart with 10 carts in ship and I go straight into packing while everyone picks. My TL comes in and says nothing to me for hours. I don’t talk to her till I’m about to go on break and I need to tell her about some unlocated Christmas stuff that could cause a bunch of inf. I had a moment where I wanted to professionally tell her I was fed up but I thought about how I would want to be treated. When I told her about the Christmas stuff I just asked if she was okay cause of the call out and her being more quite than normal and she said she was. Now if she’s got something going on or not that’s not my business but I figured I could be a friend and check on her. Regardless of why or how or whatever is going on these are human beings. Slow to anger rich in kindness will always be the best way.
