I worked for Starbucks in the store I helped set up the store different department’s & Starbucks to get it ready for grand opening.
We have since been open for weeks & they fired me because I’m gay they discriminate because apparently it’s inappropriate to call your coworkers love, hun or boo etc I never meant it in a bad or weird way it’s an endearment they was basically homophobic to me saying that my coworkers never told me they didn’t like it a lot of them especially the ladies love it when I called them it the girls my besties I worked with where upset because they didn’t see a problem with calling them it they liked it “hi hun or boo or love how is your day going?” Hey love”! etc why I’m being fired even if they didn’t fire me I would have quit on the spot because they don’t deserve me a hard worker and I hate places that discriminate like how else do you want me to talk straight wassup bruh my n…. Or dab I don’t dont talk or do that at my other job they love me for me they don’t discriminate and are not homophobic I’m glad Im gone and one of the other LGBTQIA2S employees quit too because they wasn’t inclusive other places I work nobody has ever had a problem with me saying hun love boo anything they think it’s cute & I don’t have a problem when people call me it as it’s an endearment also lots of other people where being fired for no reason I’m the nicest person I have a great personality a heart of gold i love/like everyone i meet i was a dedicated hard worker they don’t deserve me I worked at other places and never heard a such thing and also someone accused me of doing something inappropriate to them I guess they decided to choose me because im gay. Like I guess they don’t want people to be themselves how else
ETLS aren’t nice to us one of them would yell throughout the night if your not out by 10 im locking you in the store I’m going home at 10 another one had major attitude and would berate everyone. Employees hid from her and avoided her as much as they could. Some left in tears. She would berate my friend for being out sick (she has health issues and family issues, she had excused notes for call outs or time off.) I won't say any other experiences, but they were bad and this ETL has been spoken to multple times.
Also you would not always be working in your position you was hired for I was hired for Starbucks but they would put me on lock key because they was short staffed and I would stand there bored waiting for my device to go off when someone needed something because and they really wouldn’t tell you what to do you was expected to know it already.
They cut my hours for no reason.
Also Google reviews are bad because of the ETLS everything in the store is locked up deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner, laundry detergent, medicines, baby, cell phone cases, and cables etc.
I know some of these things happen on the regular. I'm saying that this place just wasn't for me. My sleep, mental and physical health was messed up. Walking around the same store for hours every day made me go crazy. I would not recommend anyone working for target don’t do it!
