Do they change schedules day of or day before?

I swear this has happened numerous times I check my schedule days before even telling my people I had my weekends off the past two weeks and I go to check today apparently I had work and next week is the same for another Sunday. On new years I swear this happened as well and I didn’t know until it was already 7 pm. Yet nobody said anything to me about a no call. Maybe I’m tripping but it seems like it’s way too often.
