Question about regular role possibility

I got hired as a seasonal fulfillment expert, not the worst job in the world it’s pretty good but I was told during orientation there’s a chance I get hired as a regular depending on my performance n blah blah blah. I wanna know how possible that really is for me to get hired as a regular or if it’s just some false hope thing to get their seasonals to work harder.
