I’m confused as to what to do next

I took a few weeks break from the game because of school, and am now not sure what I need to focus on in-game. I’ve come to the point where I get stuck around the same stage every prestige, even after I upgrade my relics. It’s starting to take multiple prestiges to upgrade relics enough for them to make a difference. Anyone have any idea what I should do?
