problem with tantric orgasm control(male)

I started experimenting with tantric orgasm control about 10 years ago but then stopped after i started physiologically orgasming without the brain orgasiming. so at the risk of a tmi, i would just cum but it wouldn't be pleasurable at all just... sploosh. i sort of abandoned it after a while because i didnt want that pattern to stick. i recently tried to pick it up again and same thing, sploosh but no pleasure, which is exactly the opposite of what i want. what am i doing wrong here? haha
