Hi!! I’ve been seeing my therapist for 8 months! I canceled my last session, and ultimately would like to move on from her and not have another session to discuss this because… I don’t want to pay $150 lol
Reasoning: I feel like we’re at a plateau. My sessions are more like venting to an unbiased friend and not beneficial to me. We don’t align in therapy styles anymore. I’m more of a talk therapy type of girl, and she’s into DMT (dance movement therapy)
Also, spending $600/month just to not feel fulfilled is no longer worth it to me. I started seeing her when I was going through an incredible hard time & it was really great to know I’d have someone to talk to every week to check in, but I just am not feeling our vibes anymore.
How can I nicely break up with her? I don’t want to offend her. She’s so sweet, but we just don’t mesh now.
