I'm writing this right now because my house stinks from this puppy. It's pushing me to the edge. My wife got it for the kid.
I can't believe people enjoy puppies. people pay extra for them when they are young. Puppies should be cheap, a trained adult should cost more. People love to say he is adorable. But imagine the hottest girl you can... eating her own feces for fun, stealing your stuff and breaking stuff daily.
The first week with this puppy was him pissing and or shitting every 30 minutes like clock work. My carpet had to have 2 deep cleanings.
So we finally get a cage for crate training, that solved the carpet issue. So now he only goes to the bathroom every 2-3 hours.... That's still a lot. So now I am lucky to get 4 hours of sleep because he has to make the most blood boiling sounds every 2-3 hours with low whining, stupid arfing, and the dreaded whistling...but if you take too long, he makes a panicking scream like sound. I have to wake up at least twice each night to let him out. I'm not good at falling back asleep. So I just stay awake...
I think I'm on week 4 now... My mood is bad. My face looks aged. The puppy loves to shred everything , constantly paper is covering all the floor space... Today I found he tore into my pickle juice bread and shredded it everywhere.
I feed him a lot and he gets lots of play time in the backyard or with my child (every 3 hours) so idky it is so hell bent on destruction.
Today he stole my shoe and ran into a deep bush shrubbery and buried it into there despite me ordering him to sit down (he knows how to sit on command) but he just stopped ...looked straight into my eyes and ran off.
The house smells so bad, like the phantom of a literal asshole is haunting me whenever I go. Just gave it another bath tonight. I have had dozens of cats and they never smell so bad, destroy my place or shit everywhere. They QUICKLY learn litter boxes. Like 1 week tops for me.
A adult dog can be annoying but rewarding to me. Puppies seem to be a nightmare..
