Law why no spirit!

I have never taken law out of my team since he joined. I'm already in mahaag Saar. Fought the mystery man for a place point. Law hasnt used spirit at all. His spirit proficiency hasn't gone up at all it is still zero. He does have his first ability that uses Spirit he just never uses it. Does anyone know a way to fix this or to get him to start doing more spirit moves without using him as your character.
