Okay to preface this I work at Boston Pizza so a lot of what I’m about to say is kinda my daily experience working there. Anyways tonight was an absolute fuck fest. Me and this other guy were the only servers on for a Saturday dinner and mind you we are at full capacity. My first table was a 12 top and their bill came out to be $400. After asking me to split the bill in twenty different ridiculous ways each asking to split it to the cent amount, the bill was still at $200. Then they got upset and demanded I go through all the receipts. So as I’m wasting my sweet time all my other ten tables are getting no service. Anyways they ended up tipping me $5 on a $400 meal so that was bullshit. Then another table got mad at me soon after because they didn’t have refills. I explained that I had just been at the other table and she was insistent and rude. Anyways the whole night was hell. Kitchen times were like forty minutes for appetizers. All my tables left terrible tips. I was verbally abused by some cunt old man and the mangers covered his meal. My cash out was $1,500 and I made $50 in tips. Can someone explain how this is humanly possible. I am an attentive and good server but the customer tonight were actually the most unkind and ignorant people I have ever served in my life. I’m really considering applying to some cute local restaurant where they make $400 a night and probably deal withhalf the stress and chaos of my workplace. Such bullshit. Also the hostesses refused to buss my tables and all the support staff was bitchy and unkind and saying that it’s not that busy and we shouldn’t be crashing.
