The A.M. host
Post Body

So, I'm finishing up training at my new job, and for the past few days I've been training with the same host, and older lady who has been here for about eight months.

She's also am example of how longevity in a restaurant doesn't equal knowledge. During the first hour of her being on the floor she starts handing out lunch menus when we're still on the breakfast one and won't be serving lunch for an hour, to start. Whenever I ask her where she wants a table to go (as the lead host),she just responds with "I don't know, wherever?"

Consistently disappears bussing tables and dropping drinks off. Wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't a Sunday morning with constant stream of people looking to watch football, and me not knowing which servers are ok to take multiple tables at once because everyone wants to watch the same TV.

And, just to top it off: she had me seating the back lounge, despite the manager apparently telling her not to seat it due to the bartender there being relatively new and not able to handle the six or seven tables she sent back, plus the people at the bar. Manager becomes very upset, chews us out over the radio. She just kinda shrugs it off like "whatever, they shouldn't have put him back there." Manager later apologized to me as it wasn't my fault, but these few shifts have kind of set a tone as to what it'll be like working with her.
