I’ve been asking my manager for 2-3 months to become a server after being here for 2 years where I started as a busser and I’ve even been memorizing the menu and have expressed interest several times and he keeps saying “I got you” but in this same time frame he hired other servers. I know he thinks I’m a good host and probably doesn’t wanna lose me as a host but I really wanna serve and have been even looking for other jobs because of this. Would it be hard for me to have a shot as a server at another place?
