So I know that forgetting a drink is a common mistake that is very easy to make. I'm happy to rectify my mistake, because i know it's my mistake, and want to own up and correct it.
I wanted to mention 2 instances where the customers actually tipped me more for coming back and bringing back their forgotten drinks.
so in story one (about a month or so ago), it was a Hispanic family (I'm Hispanic as well), the guy gave me a $12 tip, then as i was giving them the order, we quickly figured out that the drink was missing.. I told them I would be back with their Drink. so I ran to the store and came back to deliver the drink, the guy told me to change the tip to $18 for my trouble, and even asked me if that was enough, I'm like, yea.. more than enough... I was of course, very thankful for the gesture, even if I was only correcting my own mistake.
then, tonight, happened again (different customer), long story short, they added $3 to my previous tip.
I wanted to say it wasn't necessary, as I didn't expect anything for correcting my own mistake, but I settled for simply being thankful and appreciative of such kind and generous customers.
