The worst feeling as a Delivery Driver
Post Body

ok, so I'm not sure if this happens in other stores, but it happens somewhat often in mine.

I'm sorry to say that this will sound a bit racist, but it's always black people in poor neighborhoods / trailers/ or apartment complexes who do this.

when they place the order, they will put as little amount as possible on the credit card, and the rest they want to pay by cash. unfortunately as a delivery driver, when you see a credit card payment, you automatically assume it's paid in full (because 98% of the time, that's always the case), so it's easy to get complacent and not check that this isn't the case, and they know it, so they do it to get away with a free meal, but what they don't know (or care), is that it's at your expense.

a few months ago, I had this happen to me, where they charged 7 cents on a $30, I understand it's technically my fault for not checking, but it's rather disheartening to work an entire day, only to find this happened, and you worked essentially for nothing.

The other day, I saw this pattern on an order my manager was placing, I told her to warn the driver who would take this delivery, she forgot to do it, and of course It happened to the other driver as well...

these days, when I deliver to black folk in poor neighborhoods, it's when I scrutinize the tickets the most. oh well, that's what they bring on themselves.

anyone else experience this injustice?
