So I was in the hotel business for around 10 years. Everything from maintenance to GM. But I still enjoyed the night Audit the best. (Night owl here) Well I’m a bit of a smarty pants jokester but try very hard not to be to vulgar or inappropriate, I find it unbelievably funny saying this: G- can I get a wake up call for 8:45 please. Me- Uhm actually I can only set it up for a quarter to 9. G- why? Me- it’s just the way the system is set up. (Dead faced the whole time). G- oh well I guess that will work, hey wait a minute (guest laughs uproariously) you’re an asshole. Me- indeed sir, many people have told me so.

Lol that was one of the best interactions. I’ve only had 1 guest go bonkers on me about it. I was told by the GM that I can offer any abbreviated times. I just stared blankly at him. And agreed. Well then I had the reverse happen. And that got me in even more hot water cause I said we didn’t have a time in system as a quarter after 7. Guest argued with me until she said a quarter after 7 is 7:15 you dipshit. I said oh yeah we have that time in the system let me get it set for you. GM just looked at me and said what am I supposed to do with you? Lol sometimes I miss working at a job like that lol
