A Nice Place on the Beach - Intro
Post Body

"Where people come to do nothing"

A Nice Place on the Beach is a small hostel with wood cabins right on the beautiful coast of Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Zipolite: Nudist beach with hippie vibes, international junkies, hedonistic lifestyle, aggressive waves for experienced surfers only, the place where there seems to be no law, all the family's black sheeps secluded into one single place.

Used to work on this place at Front Desk/Bar. It now feels like someone else's life. I remember thinking at one point writing a book about all the things I lived/saw there and the people living there themselves. It was full contrast. I met nomads, alternative lifestyle families, spiritual gurus, psychedelic guides, exconvicts, protected US witnesses, international drug dealers and producers, celebrities... I witnessed hurricanes, earthquakes, OD's, foreigner junkies getting stuck, massive orgies, animal poisoning, machete fights, gun fights, illegal raves being guarded by corrupt policemen... List goes on and on.

I think this sub might be appropriated (yes, I'll put the 18 flair) for that kind of stories, but wanted to ask first. Let me know if you think this isn't the right sub, or let me know where should I start! I'll try and avoid the gore stories though.

Has anybody here heard about this place/beach?

Edit: wanted to clarify that the hostel really is a nice place and they were not in any way attracting the "bad" people themselves.
