I could definitely vent long and hard about crap we all go through working at the front desk. But it literally amazes me how people are so entitled, expecting things that's not a part of their standard reservation.
For example; I got berated by this guy tonight because they wanted: 4 extra towels, 4 extra pillows, 2 extra blankets, 4 slippers, 2 robes, etc. When I told him we're limited on those items due to our occupancy and it literally being Thanksgiving, he had a total conniption.
"I have never had such poor service in my life. I'm an (Hotel status that makes him feel special) and I should be given what I'm requesting." After politely explain extra amenities are not a part of his initial booking he proceeds to cuss at me and make a bigger deal than it needs to be.
One of the many challenges I've had this week. But these type of situations explain why they are staying in a hotel and not with their family on holiday. Good luck to all of you and remember they're the problem, not you.
