Rando: Hey, yeah, I was looking for a room and booking. I'm a *Extra super special tier* member and I have never damaged a hotel in my life, but I don't know if I can handle all those incidentals. Can you find me a room and work with me on the incidentals?🚩

me: Excuse me, sir? Are you looking to book a reservation?

R: Yeah, I need a reservation

me: is this a reservation for tonight (we are sold out -1)

R: it's just a one night's stay

me: for tonight?

R: yes this is for tonight. And I stay at Catalinas all the time. I want to come in. I need a double room but please don't gouge me on the incidentals I only have $800

me: I'm sorry sir I'm all booked tonight.

R: that's not what I have. this says you have rooms on Monday the 31st

me: today is the 30th. tomorrow is the 31st. I'm sold out. I'm sorry.

R: if I go through *lodging corporation* they are telling me you have it.

me: no (we were -3 and I turned off the overbooking myself) We really don't have a room for tonight.

R: what are the incidentals for the room?

me: I'm not going to be able to give you a room.

R: Well, What would the incidentals be if I were to get the room?

me: incidentals is $50.00 per reservation.

R: well that I think is going to work for me I'm going to go ahead and book the room.

me: I'm sorry sir, I'm sold out. I don't have a room for you.

R: ah, well, I'll just book it through *lodging corporation* and make a special request.

me: do what you must. Have a great day.

*not even 90 seconds later, Phone rings again*

LC: Hi this is Tammy from *lodging corporation* could you possibly help me with a single reservation for one night?

Me: Hi Tammy, what is the check in date for this reservation?

LC: it's tonight.

me: I'm sorry I'm sold out this evening.

LC: oh I see, do you have availibility tomorrow?

me: I have rooms tomorrow.

LC: thank you so much for helping me today.
