Stopped by my local chicken establishment 🐔 to pick up dinner to bring home tonight. Shockingly the line wasn’t out the door - in fact there were zero people in line. Yay!
I walk up to the counter and am fumbling to pull up the online coupon code and the young girl behind the counter sees me and quickly puts her phone away and apologizes for being on it. I say no problem I’m trying to get this code up anyway. Show her the code and she searches to find it and apologizes again because they have a lot of codes. Again, no biggee take your time. She finds it and I ask if they have any of their chicken sandwiches and she says sadly it is sold out again at their location but they are getting more tomorrow. No biggee - just had it once and wanted to give it one more try (wasn’t massively impressed the first time - yeah, I’m in the minority I know) I say - oh duh, that’s probably why the middle panel of the sign is dark. Yup. Ok cool.
She starts putting my order together and as she hands it to me she asks if I want a free soda. Sure! I thank her and go on my merry way after filling my cup with caffeinated nectar (which I am giving up in 2020 so I’m drinking as damn much as I can until then haha). When I get home and open the box I see there are also several extra pieces of chicken and an extra biscuit. Wow-double yay!
So, the moral of the story is ranting and raving and bitching at the person helping you may end up getting you what you want but being nice and patient may get you even more. (And is much more pleasant!)
