So I work for a large department store, from time to time we donā€™t have a product that someone wants we can order it for them, and normally itā€™s free shipping. While I was working I had a woman call and tell me that her luggage she ordered was destroyed in transit and asked if she could bring it in for a refund or exchange if she can find anything she likes. Of course I tell her yes and encourage her to bring it in just remember to bring the receipt with her to make it a quick and easy transaction.

When I come off my meal she is there and looking at other pieces the girl in the department with me says ā€œthis is your customer with the messed up luggageā€ I thank her and just ask for the details and receipts. She starts looking at other pieces and I start the inspection process. Redditors I kid you not, this luggage smells like someone tried to smuggle a baby shark in it. It smells so bad I almost puked in the case. I wrap it up type it up and put it in the back far away from me. I helped this nice woman that I felt terrible for find two new pieces of luggage and she buys some other travel items. Even with the return she spent $106 with some change to our local Charity adding to $107. She was so happy with our customer service she actually expressed it. She said she was so upset that her stuff came in so crappy, but we made her feel better and that we could help her find some great deals. This was a win for customer service. I have had grumpy people, but this lady made my day. Something good to see today!
