i work at giant retail chain in the electronics department. This happened about an hour ago.
Customer:"I'm calling to see if you have a micro USB to HDMI adapter"
Me:"No, we do not"
Customer:"you answered that pretty quick"
Me:"We get asked for that item alot"
Customer:"Do you know if another store has it?"
Me:"you could try other retail store or other retail store"
Customer:"No, im asking if you know if there's another same retail store location that has one?"
Me:"No, i've not seen another same store with one"
Customer:"Thank you, i know that comprehension is an issue for you"
I didnt know what to say, because that comment actually made me a bit upset, because i feel it was uncalled for, especially after another remark i got from a customer a few minutes earlier (didn't post that one, probably wont). Anyway, i replied
Me:"Have a Nice Day" in a bit of a stunned tone, then the customer hung up.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, the customer was calling because they found the item on our website, which our website sells a lot of third party items, but checking store inventory is usually available on items that we actually carry.

For me it was the last day of my two weeks notice. Boy did I have fun telling people where to shove their groceries.
