I have only been working at a shoe store for 5 days. I get a Father and a kid in the store.
Father says his son is 9 years old and is looking for a size 8. I think in my head that is pretty big for a 4th grader but whatever.
Kid is wearing Sperrys with no socks. I don't pay that any attention until later.
I bring the kid his shoes and he takes off his own shoes.
Immediately, a horrible smell comes from the kid's feet. I almost gag.
The father notices and says "You like that? That is the smell of an athlete." He seemed proud of his son's smelly feet.
Then he actually told me to help his son on the new shoes. I reluctantly did so. I held my breath but it still smelled so bad.
The son started to laugh and giggle at my suffering.
I just smiled and nodded.
Finally, it was over and they paid and left.
4th grade foot Oder. Not a fan.

I use lavender baby powder in black work shoes. On my feet, and in the shoes. Helps me!
