"I'll eat your family"

Post Body

I worked as the night crew manager for my store for 3 years, after the first year I was used to dealing with tweakers and weirdos. This particular fella took the cake for me. My crew member was checking him out for cigarettes and the customer insisted that he handed my checker a 20 (it was a 5) and started making threats to him. I get called to the front and ask what the problem is.

The guy continues to threaten my employee, so I ask him to just take his money and leave. This is where timing couldn't have been worse....Well, when he decided not to leave and keep raising hell I told him he needs to leave before I call the police. After I say this my alarm goes off so I pull my phone out of my pocket. This sent him into a rage, he proceeds to tell me he is going to kill me and eat my family and that he has a loaded 45 on him. So I actually call the police and they come and take him away. Apparently he was having a really bad drug experience that night. Not 40 minutes later the cops come back, laughing, they had to arrest him for DUI because he had hopped on his tractor to drive back to my store. It was the first time I had someone tell me they were going to kill me!

Take it from me, You'd be surprised what it takes to get someone locked up over night for making threats. Had one guy try to kill my family and i with a knife & pepper spray. My roommate missed the guy and shot him in the ankle. Police come, do their investigation and cart the offender off to the hospital to fix his shattered ankle. A few hours after the cops leave, I get a phone call from the sheriff's department telling me the guys escaped the hospital and to be on the look out. They found him staggering down the highway trying to get a family member to pick him up so he could come back and finish the job. Why he wasn't under armed guard beats the heck out of me considering he was drugged up higher than a kite on meth when he attacked us.

That's kind of the neighborhoods consensus as to why and it definitely screwed up his ankle. We found fragments in the driveway the following morning, along with his initial blood trail. No way he should have been able to walk period. Guess the drugs kept the pain level low enough for him to move. I'd have been rolling on the ground screaming myself.
