Pro Bowl Douchebag
Post Body

This was several years ago when I was living on Oahu, happened to my live in gf at the time. She worked at a national chain on the island and every year during the Pro Bowl players would come in with large groups of family and friends. One night right before closing time a certain offensive lineman for an NFC West team came in with a group of more than 15 people. They stayed for a couple of hours past close and ran up a tab of well over 3k(this is probably why they let them stay so late, that and the fact that dude is the biggest person you've ever seen). At the end of the meal the check was brought to the table with the standard 18% gratuity added. My gf was just waiting for them to leave and doing other things around her station so she could jet the minute they were gone. They all get up and leave and she makes her way to the check...

Not only had they subtracted the added gratuity but they had also chosen to leave her 5.00. On 3k . FIVE DOLLARS. My ex was so upset that she immediately started to cry and by the time she calmed down they were all already gone. Now I'm definitely not saying that the NFL player in the group was the one who made the decision to short change her but due to his perennially being "franchise" tagged by his team I did know that he was making 12-14 million dollars a year. Every year. What a classy bunch.

This story does have a happy ending however. The next day Bryant Young came in(his name is ok, since he's awesome I'm assuming?) with his family, much smaller group. She recognized him since I made her watch Niners games with me and told him that she was a big fan because he seemed so nice on the field(yes, my gf is that kind of person). He asked her if she'd met any other players and she told him what had happened the night before. He expressed his dismay and told her not to judge all players off of that. They chatted some more and she told him I was from the Bay Area and was a huge niners fan. He had her call me at work and then got on the phone and talked to me for a couple of minutes. At the end of the meal he tipped her out 500 bucks. Great dude BY.
