I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, but I'm still going to call and complain about everything. At least it ends hilariously.
Post Body

I've been working at a sandwich shop for about the last month and a half (summer job). Things have been pretty predictable so far, and then the stars aligned.

This story involves a couple other people, and aside from the customer (who has a super generic name that's relevant to the story), I'll call everyone by their titles.

So earlier in the weekend I had a woman come in and get a footlong meatball. It was during a lunch rush where I was on line (meat side), so there were details I didn't pick up on. From what I remember, she seemed nice enough. "You don't have to line 'em up, just throw 'em on there, yep, that's fine." Except for the very last meatball. She said it looked a bit burnt and requested a new one. Seamlessly, Manager swooped in and removed it while I got a new one. Put it in the toaster and moved on to the next customer.

Fast forward to earlier today. Coworker gets a call that ends up lasting 23 minutes. Turns out it's the same woman. She apparently complained about her meatballs (yes, plural) being burnt and said she had to throw out her entire sub because it was all bad. She also said that the line had been really slow and Manager hadn't been doing anything to help (which was wrong, Coworker reasoned that he had been helping me and therefore had to have also been on line), and that the person on register at the time had given her attitude. Hilariously, the woman told Coworker she wasn't trying to complain about anyone specific, get anyone in trouble, or get free food out of it. She just wanted to supposedly let us know so we could do something to change. (Coworker and I shared an eyeroll over this.)

The best part? After Coworker got off the phone, but before she told me all of this, when she got off and lamented that the call had been 23 minutes, I went "so what did Karen want?" because I spend too much time on the internet where everyone knows the Karen meme, and she goggled at me and went "how did you know her name was Karen?"

I will be surprised if anything happens to top this in the rest of my time working here.
