Hello TFFF I have a story of a person, and Oh Boy this is a long one. The background is that on this particular day I am working the front register, helping bag orders and make shakes. We were down a person on that day so I was also on the frier, meaning a total of three people were working in the store. I work in a store know for small sandwiches (kinda like sliders). Unfortunately we do not have food pre prepped and wrapped like McDonald's, so we have to put everything together by hand and then wrap it. Another unfortunate thing is that while these sandwiches may be smaller and cheaper(making it a hot commodity), they take just as much time to make as most other sandwiches.
It is currently rush hour and this man, who we'll call 28, decides he and his family want 4 of EVERY slider, of which we have 7 in total, as well as 7 Large Fries and 7 medium Drinks. See the problem here? We are down a person during lunch hour, and this man just ordered 28 Sandwiches. Our drive thru informs "28" it would take a bit of time and to pull forward. 28 replies that it's fine and moves forward. Fast forward to around 7 minutes later this lady walks in, who looks like she's been on meth. Our conversation goes as such:
Me: Hello welcome to Store. What would you-----
Lady: Is our Food done yet, we've been waiting for HALF HOUR and are starving in our truck.
Me:(looking at the time marker of the food) we are still currently making it, as we said it would take some time. It's been 7 minutes since you ordered.
Lady: (raising her voice) Well I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR A LONG TIME AND ITS NEVER BEEN THIS SLOW. Quit being Lazy and hurry.
Me:(VERY IRRITATED) We are going as quickly as we can and will have it out to you shortly. We are very sorry about that.
She storms out and we finish creating her order, along with everyone else in the store. About 6 minutes later, her order is ready and I rush it out to the parking lot, where I meet 28.
Me: Here you go sir with all the sandwiches you ordered. Sorry for the wait, but it is all here.
28 in a Stern tone: It better be. We have been out here for 40 minutes (I'm trying to figure out how he got a 40 minute wait for a 13 minute order) and are literally starving. If there is ANYTHING MISSING I will walk into your lobby, drop everything on the floor, and you will remake it.
At this point I am furious with the treatment of him and his Wife towards the store.
Me: If you do that, You will be banned from the store, and dispatch will have to be called.
28 scoffs at me and prepares to drive off. I start my way back to the door thankful that I was done with this shmuck.
That is not how it ended However. 28 drives around to the drive through and Throws one of his sodas at my coworker running the thing, soaking him in Sprite. Mr. 28 now has a sign that prohibits him from ever returning here. As the day winded down I pondered where humanity went wrong. And that is my story.
Tldr; guy bought a lot of Sandwiches and had unrealistic expectations of when it should have been finished. Coworker got hit with Sprite.
