Does anyone feel the stock suspension is awful?

Just got my bike yesterday and for how beefy it looks, it sounds like it’s going to fall apart going over bumps, lots of rattles and overall just a meh experience. I let my girlfriend ride mine while I took out the other bike purchased together Surron Ultra Bee. Now the UB felt much better (of course; it’s more of a dirt bike) but the sting felt more like a Walmart mongoose. Any tips? TIA.
