Hey there! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. For the past year, I've collected images from magazines specifically marked Public Domain Mark 1.0, all of which I found on the archive.org ...I've stumbled across some real gems and I'm using a lot of the graphics in T-shirts for my brand. I essentially upcycle a lot of these designs and add many of own creative layers including some of own graffiti that I've wrote since 6th grade!

I found this https://ia601207.us.archive.org/BookReader/BookReaderImages.php?zip=/35/items/DesignPlexMagazineNo.12GraphicsGoAroundTheWorldWideWeb/Design Plex Magazine No. 12 - Graphics Go Around The World (Wide Web)_jp2.zip&file=Design Plex Magazine No. 12 - Graphics Go Around The World (Wide Web)_jp2/Design Plex Magazine No. 12 - Graphics Go Around The World (Wide Web)_0006.jp2&id=DesignPlexMagazineNo.12GraphicsGoAroundTheWorldWideWeb&scale=8&rotate=0

I would for real love to incorporate this into a graphic.. The magazine itself says the magazine and its contents are completely copyright free and I can "copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission." However, I am just hesitant to reappropriate an established artist like Takashi Murakami's work. I wouldn't use any other graphic of his but finding it in a work as such gives me the vibe I can use it seeing as how the work itself used it. I would of course credit him (something like "Takashi Murakami sampled tee") and if there's an issue I'd certainly offer commission, but I just think trying to reach him first may be difficult, though I could send an email trying to ask I suppose! Just wanted to hear some thoughts on this. Thanks guys!
