Kepler is Amazing
Post Body

I played one game of Kepler. Everybody who played it had fun. For those who haven't played it, it's a new game mode where both teams have their own colored flag in their base, and they have to take it to some tiles on the other side. It's very interesting, and different than everything else.

It's so fresh and everyone is uncertain what the meta should be. Should we have 3d and 1 O? Should there be a goalie and two more aggressive defenders who can switch to blocking for the FC? Maybe 2d and 2o? It's not clear, and everything seems to have different advantages.

Currently, it's not clear what the staying power of Kepler mode is - whether it will became a staple. But right now it's very fun and very fresh. I almost wish I could only play Kepler.

I've only played one game of Callsign (the double NF map). And it didn't immediately make me love it like Kepler did. It was over too fast. I think this one may take a while for people to digest and figure out how to play. I'd argue that it needs more than a 3 cap mercy rule. I want to play it more before I fully decide how I feel.

Anyways, I love these new experimental maps. It'll be interesting how play will evolve as the community digests them.

There have been some attempts similar to these earlier than 2 threads ago, but the were very clunky and made the idea seem terrible from those maps.
