Adopted a new tabby, which my kid named Cricket. The husband doesn't like cats. She followed him around, and he'd say, "go away, I don't want you."
She'd just meow at him, as if to say, "No, sir, you are incorrect."
Took less than 5 minutes before he was petting her, and she fell asleep on his lap 20 minutes later.
