At what point is not worth fixing a nine year old tv?

Could use some opinions… our 9 year old LGUB9500 has started having some pretty significant audio problems (strong static sound anytime you plug something into a hdmi port). With its technology being a bit outdated (most streaming apps not supported), and a repair cost estimated to be a few hundred minimum, would you repair or bite the bullet and move onto something new?
