I know I'm going to regret opening the flood gates like this but....
Post Body

I've played Legend of the five rings briefly, Exalted, Vampire the masquerade, d&d 5e, and a homebrew game sort of like star trek, but now i want to run something myself.

I don't want to play anything too similar to those systems so I don't get confused about rules and 3/5 of those systems are currently being played at our table (L5R & Exalted are open).

My table loves story and rp heavy systems with some combat but not as much as d&d has, so here's where you come in!

What are your best recommendations for another system? We have shadowrun and FATE books that we could run, but none of us knows anything about those systems and I'd like some ideas before I decide on what system to use. Thanks in advance!
