The Quiet As Kept Worst Bus Route In Scarborough: 132 Milner
Post Body

This has to be the worst, mis-managed bus that isn't a main bus route (e.g. 85 Sheppard East, 102 Markham Road).

Took off from work early today (Thursday) and got to the Scarborough Town Centre bus bay at 3:05 p.m. NOT ONE bus showed up for almost an hour, finally arriving at 3:51 p.m. The bus bay was overcrowded with antsy people waiting forever. I actually got worried a disabled guy in a motorized wheelchair, who was waiting for as long as me, wasn't going to be able to get on because the crowd got so big during that wait. I could've taken alternate options (133, 939 or 129 to Sheppard) but in the past when I've done that, the Milner shows up and now the alternate route I picked ends up taking longer.

During the start of the afternoon rush hour there's no excuse for an almost 50-minute gap. And this is a regular occurance. If its not delays and big wait gaps, its heavy bunching. And this wasn't always the case for the 132. It makes no sense considering it isn't a high-volume traffic route that the bus continues to be superiorly late.

It also doesn't help that due to the demographic the population of the area has surged up in years so from 3-8pm it's super overcrowded. There was a time the 132 used to run every 12 minutes during peak times, now it's every 17-21 minutes.
