My wife has been on testosterone and progesterone creams for 3.5 weeks and just completed her first period while on the cream. To our surprise, it was what would probably be considered a normal flow for most women. Her heaviest days she'd change a super plus or ultra every 4ish hrs. But she used mostly super and super plus for the entire week.
For context, she has really bad endometriosis and for years her period week is hell on earth for her. Days 1 and 2, maybe... maybe she could get away with a super, but usually needed a super plus or ultra. Days 3, 4, and 5, she needed ultras with a pad and would have to change every 1.5 to 2 hrs or bleed through.
This past week has been a godsend for her and we're trying to determine if only being on the hormones for 2 weeks is enough time to effect her periods. Or, should these hormones even have an effect her periods at all and is this just a coincidence. We can't think of any other lifestyle changes that have been made this month.
Just looking to see if others have had experiences with this. If it does turn out to be hormone related, she already said hrt is a win for her even though she hasn't noticed any of the other improvements for why she started hrt yet.
Her starting levels were, Tot T: 49, Free T: 2.5, Prog: <.5, Estr: 288.
She's on 1ml of each cream per day, 3mg/ml test, 100mg/ml progesterone
