Sup gang,
Long story short, I have $10k maturing in a CD tomorrow (march 1st) and I wanna put it in my IRA which holds a bunch of VTI and some TQQQ. My investing time horizon is about 25 years.
My fear is all the negative nancy's who are saying the market is overbought, wait for a pull back to 50-day sma, etc. and the risk of lump-summing. I know if it was purely VTI I wouldn't care as much but we've seen mutliple backtests show the risk of lump sum is all about your entry point and I would probably agree with most people that right now is likely a higher entry point.
So help assuage my worries - do I lump all 10k in tomorrow? Do i put it in VTI first and then "rebalance" to larger and larger holdings of TQQQ over the coming weeks?
