When it comes to BOTW/TOTK link's trademark outfit, it's... a little perplexing. In canon cutscenes, Smash, and promotional material, he's almost always shown wearing the Champion's tunic and Hylian trousers. However, the traditional green outfit we see other Links wearing throughout the series is first obtained via completing all the shrines in BOTW. In the start of TOTK, it's implied that 100%ing BOTW is "canon", as link is armed to the teeth with hearts and stamina wheels.

Every Link is fated to obtain the green tunic in some form, but he lacks it in the opening.

Which begs the question... What's this Link's "Default" outfit? He has his own green tunic specifically made for him in both games, and all links usually wear it. Does this Link just prefer the Champion's tunic anyways?

It's a small question, not to mention useless, but it's something to think about. From a lore perspective, why is this Link so far removed from the trademark tunic? Especially when the Tunic of the Wild was made just for this Link?
