Anime with upside down mountains in the sky

Time: late 90s ish I thought this was the digimon movie but we just watched it and It doesn’t have the scene I remember, possible an episode or another movie
The scene I remembered is: the characters are looking through binoculars or a telescope of some kind possibly and notice that in the sky are mountains that are upside down. Maybe mirroring the real mountains, hard to remember TIA
