I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at 13 years old. Im now 29. Over the course of my adult life it has gotten worse. I have tried 7 antidepressants and also CBD treatment with no success. Both my mental and physical health have deteriated. Barely sleep a few hours every night unless i pop a Xanex, i dont exercise as much due to headaches for unknown reasons, i dont feel any happiness at all, not around my family, friends, partners, anything.
I accidentally came across TMS about 2 weeks ago and talked to my GP about it. He was very skeptical but i told him what choice do i have? 7 failed antidepressants and im pre sure ECT is illegal here now (plus i wouldnt put myself through that). Next thing you know i was able to find a TMS place 10min from me and booked an appointment which is in 1 week. I am extremely nervous but hopeful.
Any advice on what to do during said sessions, after sessions, during the process? Or any general advice? They told me i can attend during my work break then go back to work. Thry also told me to avoid alcohol and drugs throughout the whole process.
P.S - In regards to my headaches and other health issues, they have all been thoroughly looked at with 10 hospital visits a year, multiple specialist visits and scans with 0 answers. Always comes back to my depression creating said symptoms or making them worse
