Anyone else think Mutant Mayhem Splinter is hiding stuff about his origin?

I just watched the movie for the first time and I'm not normally one for theories or speculation but I think he is either

A)Purposely hiding some stuff regarding his true origin

B)Cant even remember his own history for some reason

I just cant imagine Hamato Yoshi just isnt a thing in this universe.The guys a canon event for lack of a better term.I think this Splinter was his pet rat like in the comics and the 2003 show and he just isnt telling the boys for some reason.

Pretty fun movie all in all though.The turtles in high school isnt my ideal portrayal of them but I'm willing to roll with it
