Hello!
I didn't know where to go so I decided to come ask here. My endocrine doctor informed me that I have TMJ and there were options to fix it if I wanted. Now, I saw an orthodontist a few months back which he never mentioned TMJ (that's fine) but I also have other issues with my jaw as well. I currently also have Skeletal class III underbite (my lower jaw is ahead of my upper), angel dental class I malocculsion, Anterior/front cross bite, heavy/traumatic pressure on upper front teeth with crowding with apparent bone level changes. They gave me two options as I have a root canal on my front tooth. Which was either take teeth out or Jaw surgery. I assume that all these together isn't doing well for my jaw and dental health. I'm not sure where to start to help me get the treatments that I need to make everything better. Any advice would be GREAT. i contacted my PCP but haven't heard back and I don't know if my dentist will know what to do. I heard that I should see either an ENT or Oral Surgeon? Tips, advice, etc would be so lovely!
*I do have clicking, popping, sometimes feels like I'll dislocate when yawning and hurts after eating hard foods.*
