Post Body

Hi I had my wisdom teeth taken out a month ago. After a couple weeks I noticed my jaw was still hurting bad. But because of covid 19 i couldn't see my dentist unless it was an emergency. Then it went away for a couple of weeks. And just a few days ago I got massive pain while eating. Now I can only open my mouth to fit maybe a finger and a half. Sore on the right side too. Finally went in the dentist and there isnt much they can do. He recommended that I relax my jaw often and take ibuprofen every six hours. He said after a week if it isnt better he'll prescribe me muscle relaxers. A lot of my research on tmj says that the most effective time to treating it is when symptoms first arrive. What should I be doing. I'll take any and all advice. I'm really scared. I know the answers are out there, but the research online is overwhelming and contradicting.
