I don’t have TMJ, I’ve heard about it before though, today I woke up just fine. Everything felt normal and I had my retainer in all night. While I was doing some homework, I yawned and on the left side of my face, the part of the jaw that’s right under your ear, it felt like gritty and sounded like someone was rubbing sand in between their fingers. Now I feel slight pain there and my teeth don’t seem to be aligned the same as they were when I woke up, my bottom set of teeth seemed to shift to the left as a whole. Does this have potential to be related to TMJ? Should I be worried?
