Could one day of excess gum chewing really cause this…?

Post Body

Chewed gum for longer than normal one day and one month later, still having frustrating symptoms:

— stiffness when trying to close mouth (I.e., touch teeth together) — click on right side when opening — dull pain in upper back molars — tight trapezius / neck muscles

But unlike many TMJ experiences described…

— no issues opening mouth wide — click only heard upon opening, not closing — muscle relaxant and NSAIDs don’t seem to offer relief — no hearing issues, tinnitus or headaches

Does this seem like a muscular TMJ issue? Can anyone relate? Thank you for reading
