same scenario... different questions

When a customer is returning an item, price is $109.00 ,no receipt, with a week code of 2 and you are in week 30. the cashier has advised the customer a return can not be done, a manager is called into the transaction, and the decision is made to do the return. It is discovered the ticket was wrong and the item wasn't even sold by us.
What do you think the item is?
Does it get marked out of stock? why??
